Aspen Camping is a medium-sized campground in Lerum, Sweden, which is on the outskirts of Gothenburg. We have 120 pitches with electricity with 16A electrical hook-ups, plus a number of tent pitches. And for those who prefer, we also have twelve cottages for hire.
Despite its close proximity to the city, we are located in a wonderful natural setting on lake Aspen.
Our ambition is for every guest to be greeted by our positive and helpful staff, and that the grounds are always clean and well kept.
We have our own beach on lake Aspen, which is a fresh-water lake approximately 5 km (3 miles) long. The lake is perfect for swimming and fishing, and for a number of other water activities. There is a swimming dock on our beach as well as a barbeque area. High cliffs rise on the opposite side of the lake, and sunsets over the lake are unforgettable.
We also have a miniature golf course, and there is also a large playground for the children.
We have some rowing boats for hire. We can also provide you with information about the city of Gothenburg and its points of interest, as well as tourist attractions in the vicinity. Our staff will also be happy to assist you if you have any other questions.
Items such as soft drinks, beer, ice cream, sweets, fresh rolls and bread, fishing permits for Aspen and the Säve river, Göteborgspass (a pass entitling you to bargain prices and entry into various activities in Gothenburg), postcards, and souvenirs can all be purchased in the reception area.
The centre of the town of Lerum, with restaurants, shops, post offices, banks, and other services are less than 1 km (0.5 miles) from the campground. Lerum is also the home of the Vattenpalatset , an indoor/outdoor swimming facility that can be the perfect place in the event of bad weather.
Transport into Gothenburg is also excellent: Commuter trains to Gothenburg’s central station take only 16 minutes, and the local station is only a 5-minute walk from the campground. If you purchase the Göteborgspasset from us, the train ticket is included in the price of the pass. The Liseberg amusement park is only a 20-minute journey by car.
