In our lake there are 29 known species of fish in the lake, which makes lake Aspen, with respect to fish, one of the most biologically diverse lakes in the country. The lake has an area of approximately 500 hectares (1,235 acres) and has 15 km (9 miles) of shoreline. The lake’s greatest depth is 25 meters (82 ft). Each year, there are good catches of fish such as bass, northern pike, pike-perch,för several types of white fish, etc. The lake is well suited to trolling, and during the summer there is special fishing for pike-perch weighing over 7 kg (15 lbs). If you are looking for greater fishing challenges, they can be found just round the corner. The well-known salmon stream, Jonseredsvattnet, runs from lake Aspen. This stream is home to one of the country’s largest shoals of salmon, and a good number of fish weighing over 10 kg (25 lbs) are taken in these waters each year.
